  • Clinical Internship Certificate in Traditional Chinese Medicine ( Beijing China)

Jeannie Kim obtained her four year bachelor degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the University of Technology, Sydney. As part of her studies, she participated in a hospital program in Beijing, allowing her to observe the benefits of integrative medicine at first hand. Since then, she believes that integrative medicine is beneficial to the community and strongly advocates for the combined treatment of western and alternative medicine. She enjoys seeing the benefits that integrative medicine has for patients, and promotes the use of both medical worlds in her treatment processes.

Her belief in Chinese Medicine is that it is a holistic medicine, and so incorporates this within her treatments. Holistic medicine is an approach in which all aspects of the patient are comprehensively diagnosed via a thorough health assessment, and this includes assessing the physical, emotional, and mental being. Her treatments include combining dietary, social, emotional, environmental, and lifestyle factors in order to achieve clinically significant results.

In every initial consultation, Jeannie thoroughly explains and educates her patients about their overall health and well-being. This helps to empower and engage her patients in understanding how their unique body functions, and therefore work on their weaknesses in order to enhance their well-being.

Jeannie also has a background in infertility, where she accumulated her skills and experience at a well-known clinic in the Inner West. Her experiences include treating couples undergoing ART procedures, couples diagnosed with unexplained infertility, and women with a history of repeated miscarriages. Jeannie encourages all of her fertility patients to undergo preconception care in order to succeed in having a live birth.

Throughout her duration through her previous clinic, she developed a passion and strong interest in musculoskeletal problems, especially sports injuries. She has had multiple success in treating patients with particular issues such as frozen shoulders, knee issues, and back problems.

Jeannie believes in practising what you preach. Subsequently, she aims at eating a healthy diet, following a balanced lifestyle, enjoys family time, and importantly, incorporating vigorous exercise. She is currently training for a full marathon.
